Clinical Coordinator - PACU - Days

Hourly Pay Range:

$40.45 - $62.70 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

* Position: Registered Nurse Coordinator PACU

* Location: Arlington Heights

* Full Time:

* Hours: 8a to 5:30p M-F

What you will do:

* The PACU Clinical Coordinator is a Registered Nurse who provides clinical leadership and operational coordination for perioperative services. This role oversees daily workflow, staffing, resource management, and interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care across designated surgical specialties.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Coordinate daily perioperative operations, patient flow, and department throughput.

* Provide leadership and support to nursing staff while fostering teamwork and collaboration.

* Plan and adjust staffing based on patient acuity, census, and operational needs.

* Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless coordination of patient care.

* Oversee the availability and maintenance of supplies and equipment

* Serve as a clinical resource and participate in direct patient care as needed.

* Support staff development, orientation, and ongoing competency initiatives.

* Lead and participate in quality improvement and performance improvement activities.

* Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and professional nursing standards.

What you will need:

* Education:

* ADN

* BSN preferred

* Certification/License:

* IL RN License

* CPR BLS issued by American Heart Association

* Experience:

* Experience in Peri anesthesia/OR or Critical Care setting preferred

* Leadership/ charge nurse experience preferred

* Team building, leadership acumen, critical thinking and effective communication.

* Must demonstrate competency in care of all patient age groups specific to specialty.

Competencies are unit/specialty specific.
