Automotive Diesel Technician / Auto Repair Technician
The Hertrich Family of Dealerships is hiring an experienced Automotive Diesel Technician / Auto Service Repair Technician to join our busy, family-owned operation. For three generations, the Hertrich Family of Dealerships has delivered high-quality automotive service across the Delmarva Peninsula and beyond. We operate 24 dealerships, 15 collision centers, and 18 automotive brands, and proudly support 90+ local organizations and charities. We believe in integrity, teamwork, and providing a professional environment where technicians can succeed.
What You'll Do:
- Diagnose and repair diesel and automotive systems including engines, transmissions, electrical, suspension, brakes, and emissions
- Perform inspections, maintenance, and testing on major components
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and shop equipment safely and efficiently
- Complete accurate repair orders and communicate with Service Advisors
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Stay current with evolving automotive technologies
What We're Looking For:
- Automotive and/or diesel repair experience
- ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain)
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver's license
- Full set of tools
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions
