Quick Facts Location: Big Stone Gap, VA Start Date: 11/01/2026 End Date: 01/31/2027 Shift: 24-hour call shifts (08:00 – 08:00) Hours/Week: 40+ Employment Type: Full-time Licenses/Certs: VA license, BC in Hematology/Oncology, BLS, DEA Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant post-certification experience Pay & Benefits Hourly Pay Rate: $5,070.00 (per 24-hour shift) Weekly Pay Schedule via Direct Deposit Pay package discussed upon application Benefits include: Comprehensive Medical Benefits (W-2) Paid sick time in accordance with all applicable laws Licensure, certification, and travel reimbursements when applicable Robust referral bonus program 24/7 dedicated team committed to your success throughout your assignment What You’ll Do Provide inpatient consultations and manage hematology and oncology patients at the facility Support outpatient clinics with ongoing patient care, including infusion services and follow-ups Participate in 24-hour call rotations, maintaining clinic responsibilities during scheduled weeks Collaborate with a dedicated nursing team and multidisciplinary staff Document patient encounters accurately using Epic EMR system Support complex and high-acuity cases, supporting both adult hemato-oncology populations What You Need Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology Virginia medical license (must have in hand before start) Minimum 1 year of post-certification experience in Hematology and Oncology Active DEA license BLS certification Clear background, no settled or unresolved malpractice history About the Assignment This assignment is with a leading healthcare facility in Big Stone Gap, VA, where you will be floating between inpatient and outpatient services across two sister facilities. You will treat adult hematology and oncology patients, with a mix of inpatient consultations, outpatient clinics, and infusion therapy.
