Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and improve their quality of life. This position involves working with individuals across various settings, including outpatient facilities and early intervention programs, with a focus on patient care for those with diverse needs, including autism spectrum disorders.

Duties

Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to determine their occupational therapy needs.

Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient evaluations.

Provide therapeutic interventions aimed at enhancing patients' physical, emotional, and social well-being.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including case management and speech therapy professionals, to ensure holistic patient care.

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.

Educate patients and their families about therapeutic techniques and strategies for daily living.

Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities and progress in compliance with regulatory standards.

Stay updated on best practices in occupational therapy, anatomy, and physiology to provide the highest level of care.

Qualifications

A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.

Valid state licensure or certification as required by local regulations.

Experience with pediatrics

Knowledge of anatomy and physiology is essential for effective treatment planning.

Familiarity with early intervention strategies and working with individuals on the autism spectrum is a plus.

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating independence in clinical decision-making.

A commitment to providing compassionate care tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus.
