Job Description:

Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a renal medical-surgical unit. Monitor and assess patient conditions, implementing nursing interventions as needed. Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning. Educate patients and families on care plans and health management strategies. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.

Requirements:

RN licensure in the state or a Compact license required at submission. Minimum of 1 year relevant RN experience required. BLS certification required. Experience with telemetry, IV/PICC/central line care, pre/post hemodialysis management, oxygen therapies, wound care, chest tube care, feeding tube and ostomy care, blood product administration, phlebotomy, and medication administration. Experience with the Epic charting system required.

Compliance / Notes:

Orientation lasts approximately 12 hours; additional onboarding items must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing. Request Time Off (RTO) is limited to a maximum of 7 days per contract. Travelers are expected to work major holidays as specified by assignment rules. Flu vaccine is required, with possible exemptions for medical or religious reasons.
