In this mission-driven role, you will prepare and reconcile financial statements, monitor expenditures, and ensure compliance with GAAP and contract requirements. The Accountant collaborates with program and operations teams to support student-centered decisions, assists with audits and month-end close, and maintains accurate records for grants and workforce development initiatives in a structured, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Prepare, examine, and reconcile general ledger entries and financial statements for program operations Ensure compliance with GAAP, organizational policies, and contract/grant requirements for Job Corps programs Monitor budgets, track expenditures, and support variance analysis for center and program leadership Process invoices, purchase orders, and reimbursements while maintaining accurate documentation Assist with month-end and year-end close, journal entries, and account reconciliations Support audits by preparing schedules, reports, and supporting documentation Analyze financial data to provide insights that support student-centered, mission-driven decision making Collaborate with program, HR, and operations staff to resolve accounting issues and improve processes Maintain accurate records for grants and restricted funds in educational and workforce development programs Use accounting software and Excel to generate reports and dashboards for management Required Skills Financial reporting General ledger accounting Budgeting and forecasting GAAP compliance Grant and fund accounting Audit preparation Accounts payable and receivable Excel (advanced) Accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Great Plains, or similar) Financial analysis #J-18808-Ljbffr
