About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Exceptional communication skills Time management Medication safety (minimum of 98% of all medications scanned and administered safely) Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a Med Surg specialty. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The unit has 39 beds and employs 60 staff members. The night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 6 RNs, and 2 CNAs. Patient ratios are 1:6 on the night shift. The facility uses Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, Arjo lifts, and computers in every room. The EMR system used is Meditech. Candidates must be friendly and team-oriented. Ability to make strong personal connections is important. Candidates with chemotherapy certification are preferred. Flexibility to work days or nights is beneficial. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs. Two weekends of work per month may be required, with on-call only if volume is low.
