Description The registered Ultrasound Technologist performs ultrasound procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of ultrasound principles. Performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment with ingenuity and initiative to apply non‑ionizing, high‑frequency ultrasonic waves to patients for ultrasound diagnosis. Required Qualifications Coursework/Training Completion of education program that meets ARDMS prerequisite requirements for RDMS examination. Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Sonography Or Upon hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Preferred Qualifications Experience in assisting with the following OB procedures: chorionic villus sampling (CVS), Percutaneous Umbilical Blood Sampling (PUBS), and amniocentesis.
