Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist

Summary This position is located within the Department of the Interior, National Park Service, Midwest Region, George Rogers Clark National Historical Park, Vincennes, Indiana. Responsibilities include providing facility management with diversified infrastructure and operational complexity. Major Duties The major duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following: Serves as member of the management team in support of park unit initiatives. Reports to the Superintendent. Manages complex projects, develops scopes of work, budget estimates, and 5-year planning documents. Collaborates with park team and partners to develop and achieve park, program and projects goals. Initiates actions and serves as the liaison for compliance of environmental/cultural issues related to project proposals and park operations. Maintains contracting officer representative (COR) accreditation and prepares annual work budget plans for maintenance operations. Determines trades, materials and equipment applicable to facility maintenance and operations within the park unit. Exercises full range of supervisory duties of subordinates for permanent, seasonal, youth workers, and volunteers. Recruits and makes selection of employees; makes the recommendation of promotions, reassignments, and other personnel actions. You will be required to operate a government (or private) motor vehicle as part of your official duties; a valid driver's license is required. You will be required to submit a Motor Vehicle Operator's License and Driving Record. You must also submit (within a State sealed envelope or submitted directly by the State authorities), and at your own expense, all certified driving records from all States that disclose all valid driver's licenses, whether current or past, possessed by you. You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided. You may be required to travel overnight away from home occasionally. You must obtain a government charge card for travel purposes.
