Registered Nurse (RN) - MS/Tele Float

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with a strong background in medical-surgical and telemetry nursing to join our float pool. The ideal candidate will have flexibility and be ready to support various units throughout the institution.

Position Overview

This position encompasses a variety of responsibilities, providing care for patients ranging from ER boarded patients to those in telemetry and medical-surgical units. The role involves floating to meet the diverse needs of the institution.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in various settings as needed.
• Manage patient assignments, ensuring safe nurse-patient ratios, varying from 1:4 to 1:6 based on unit acuity.
• Coordinate patient care activities and collaborate with healthcare team members.
• Assume charge nurse duties on smaller units, which include managing staffing needs and bed flow.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system (EPIC).

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
• Charge nurse experience is required.
• Experience in a telemetry or medical-surgical setting preferred.
• Ability to adapt to different units and patient populations.
• Experience in the United States healthcare system is mandatory; Canadian experience is not sufficient.

Work Schedule

This position requires a commitment to a night shift schedule consisting of three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. The start date is as soon as possible.
