Job Duties

• Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including physical assessments and extensive medical history analyses
• Assist in assessing and diagnosing surgical conditions by interpreting imaging studies and lab findings
• Work hand-in-hand with surgeons to develop and implement customized surgical treatment plans for patients
• Provide essential intraoperative assistance, prepping surgical rooms, ensuring proper patient positioning, and skillfully passing instruments during operations
• Offer outstanding pre- and post-operative care, administering medications, managing wounds, and leading patient education during discharge planning

Educational Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program
• Experience in clinical rotations focused on surgical practice is highly preferred

Required Certifications

• Current and valid PA-C certification
• Certification in BLS and ACLS is mandatory
• State licensure (or eligibility) as a Physician Assistant is required
