Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Blood Bank Supervisor to lead our high-performing transfusion services team. This role will oversee day-to-day operations in the blood bank section of our laboratory, ensure regulatory compliance, manage staff scheduling and training, and coordinate quality assurance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervise a team of Medical Technologists and Lab Assistants in the Blood Bank.

2. Oversee testing, processing, storage, and distribution of blood products.

3. Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, AABB, and FDA regulations.

4. Develop and implement SOPs, quality control programs, and audits.

5. Assist with inventory management and vendor relationships.

6. Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance reviews.

7. Serve as a liaison with nursing, surgery, and trauma teams during high-demand situations.

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelors degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field.

• Minimum 35 years of experience in a blood bank or transfusion service laboratory.

• At least 2 years of supervisory or lead tech experience.

• Certification as MT/MLS(ASCP) or equivalent.

• Nevada General Supervisor License (or eligible).
