Sr AI Developer (full stack)

Our client, a leading organization in the technology sector, is seeking a Sr AI Developer (full stack) to join their team. As a Sr AI Developer (full stack), you will be part of the AI & Data Science Department supporting innovative AI solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem‑solving skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Sr AI Developer (full stack) Location: Charlotte, NC (3 days onsite every week) What's the Job? Design, build, and productionize GenAI applications end-to-end, leading the development of robust workflows and scalable microservices. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement system design, MLOps, observability, and governance for AI products. Develop and optimize retrieval‑augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, including ingestion, embeddings, and document normalization. Productionize services on Google Vertex AI, containerize with Docker, orchestrate with Kubernetes, and automate with CI/CD pipelines. Create user‑facing applications and backend services, ensuring security, performance, and reliability. What's Needed? 7‑10+ years of software engineering experience with 3‑5+ years in applied ML/GenAI building production systems. Expertise with LangChain, LangGraph, and experience with Vertex AI and cloud platform architectures. Strong knowledge of vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS) and embedding models (OpenAI, Vertex, Cohere). Hands‑on experience with production backends in Python (FastAPI) or Node.js, and front‑end frameworks like React/Next.js.
