Pediatric Practice Licensed Practical NurseThe Licensed Practical Nurse performs general nursing duties with minimal supervision in a busy Pediatric practice. Assist Physician/PNP with diagnostic/treatment procedures in a clean, safe environment. Ensure efficient and rapid patient flow. Candidate must be proficient in performing vital signs, heights, weights, immunizations and other injections on patients from newborn to young adults. LPN/RN hires in addition to above duties would be responsible to triage incoming telephone calls and relaying medical information provided by the Physician/PNP staff. Full Time or Part Time Certified MA or LPN positions are available. Includes a variety of daytime, evening and weekend hours, including holidays. If interested, please submit an updated resume with your contact information.The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for assisting physicians and nurse practitioners with patient care, environmental and organizational tasks. Responsible for triaging telephone calls, prioritizing and providing medical advice to patients per office protocol. Provides information to patients so they may fully utilize and benefit from the Care Center services. Documents patient interactions in the electronic health system (EMR), per office policies and procedures. Conveys a positive image of Care Center.Essential Functions: This list may include but is not limited to the following:Fulfills patient care responsibilities, as assigned, which may include preparing patient charts for upcoming appointment and gather required forms/handoutsObtaining patient vitals, as appropriate for patient age, including heart rate and respiratory rateCollecting patient history and documenting collected informationObtaining and preparing specimen for testing in-house or outside lab, as directed by provider. For in-house specimen, includes completing test operation for result.Administering vaccines, medications, and injections, according to insurance company requirement, as directed by physician/nurse practitioner, including proper documentation and signatures in patient chart.Reviews, monitors, and prioritizes the Triage telephone EMR box for call returns based on available information; Interviews parent, guardian, or patient to make an accurate assessment of the patient's health care needs based on patient's signs and symptoms utilizing established triage protocols and guidelines;Provides parent with the appropriate plan of action based on protocols;Disseminates instructions, advice, and lab/test results to patients, as directed by a provider or office protocol;Accurately documents symptoms/complaints, nursing assessment, advice provided and patient/caller response in electronic health record.Fulfills environmental responsibilities, as assigned, which may include:Set up instruments, equipment, and run controls for laboratory testing according to protocolCleaning and disinfecting exam rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits and at the end of each shift to maintain infection control;Dispose contaminated testing material and supplies according to OSHA requirements.Inventory, sorting, re-stocking, and storing medical suppliesFulfills organizational responsibilities, as assigned, which may include:Respecting/promoting patient rightsAdheres to infection control/safety guidelines, and confidentiality policiesMaintain confidentiality and use discretion when handling patient's medical recordsBenefits Available:Multiple medical and prescription coverage optionsDental and vision care plansHealth Savings Accounts (HSAs), where applicableFlexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)Voluntary critical illness, cancer, and accident insuranceVoluntary hospital indemnity coverageVoluntary short-term and long-term disability insuranceVoluntary term life insurance and AD&D (Accidental Death & Dismemberment)401(k) retirement savings planPaid time off (PTO)Commuter benefitsGroup auto and homeowners insurancePart-time Benefits:VisionFlexible Spending AccountsMetLife Auto/Vehicle & Home Insurance Discounts
