Position Purpose
Performs clerical duties by assisting the professional nursing staff by performing routine duties in caring for assigned patients in a designated area. Utilizes Powerchart for Order Entry, and is a resource to employees utilizing the system.
Shifts Available: 7:00 am 7:00 pm, 7:00 pm 7:00 am
Status available: Contingent/PRN
Every Other Weekend and 3 Holidays per year required for Full-time and Part-time team members.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
What you will do:
- Answers telephones and relays messages, making calls as necessary.
- Assembles charts for admission, transfer and discharges, post charges.
- Sets up appointments for special procedures as necessary with appropriate departments, as well as setting appointments up for patients on an outpatient basis.
- Demonstrates ability to utilize order entry, order modification, D/C and cancel orders as directed.
