Job Description
OTR Drivers are responsible for transporting goods over long distances across national routes, operating company trucks in a solo driving capacity. This role requires frequent overnight travel and strict adherence to safety and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations to ensure timely and secure delivery of freight.
Responsibilities
- Operate company trucks on long-haul national routes
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections before, during, and after trips
- Secure loads properly to ensure safe transport
- Navigate routes efficiently and comply with DOT regulations
- Maintain detailed and accurate log documentation
- Manage fuel usage and refueling during trips
- Monitor safety conditions and respond proactively
- Engage professionally with customers when necessary
