Job Title

Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) | Every Other Weekend | Holidays as Needed | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a primarily Medical Surgical population, including observation patients, surgical patients, and surgical observation cases
• Care for patients with respiratory conditions, general medical surgical diagnoses, diabetes (including new diabetics and patients with diabetes-related complications), and palliative, end-of-life, and hospice patients
• Monitor and manage psychiatric observation patients as appropriate to the unit
• Utilize EPIC electronic medical records system for documentation and patient management
• Float to other campus locations within the health system as needed
• Adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for tardiness and unexcused absences

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Must pass a compliance EKG exam during onboarding (2 attempts allowed)
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Must be able to complete all compliance requirements by the stated deadline prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Previous experience as a Charge RN
• Background in telemetry or EKG interpretation
