Shipping & Receiving AssociateShift: 1st Shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM or 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour (Based on Experience)Job Overview: We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Associate to join our growing warehouse team. This position is responsible for preparing outbound shipments, receiving incoming materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have previous shipping and receiving experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.ResponsibilitiesPrepare, package, and stage outbound shipments, including large gas packages and materials requiring post-processing.Verify finished goods meet quality, labeling, and packaging standards.Report non-conforming materials and discrepancies to the appropriate departments.Create and maintain itemized lists of components and sub-assemblies for customer orders.Receive and unload inbound shipments while inspecting materials for accuracy and damage.Operate warehouse equipment including forklifts, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, and dollies.Read packing slips and enter receiving information into the ERP system.Label and identify materials as needed.Store inventory in designated warehouse locations.Pick, pull, and distribute materials according to work orders and customer requirements.Create shipping documents using carrier websites and arrange freight shipments.Prepare parcel and LTL shipments for outbound delivery.Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and inventory audits.Assist with general warehouse organization and cleanliness.Qualifications RequiredHigh School Diploma or GED.2+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or logistics experience.Experience operating a forklift and other material handling equipment.Basic computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office programs.Ability to read packing slips, shipping documents, and work instructions.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.PreferredExperience working within an ERP system.Manufacturing or industrial warehouse experience.Knowledge of freight, parcel shipping, and transportation methods.Skills & AbilitiesExcellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift.Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.Work EnvironmentThis position works in a manufacturing facility where employees are regularly exposed to moving machinery, warehouse traffic, varying temperatures, noise, and industrial equipment.
