The ideal candidate will have a passion for floral artistry, a strongunderstanding of professional design techniques, and the ability to createbeautiful, distinctive arrangements that reflect The Wishing Well's commitmentto exceptional quality and customer service. This position requires a minimum of three years of professional floraldesign experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to workindependently in a busy, customer-focused floral environment. Primary Responsibilities - Design and create high-quality floral arrangements for everyday occasions, weddings, sympathy tributes, holidays, corporate events, and special celebrations. - Demonstrate proficiency in floral design principles, including color harmony, balance, proportion, texture, and contemporary design techniques. - Interpret customer requests and create arrangements that meet design expectations, budgets, and company quality standards. - Select, condition, and properly care for fresh flowers, greenery, plants, and floral materials to ensure maximum freshness and longevity. - Maintain an organized, clean, and attractive design workspace. - Assist with floral inventory, product preparation, supply management, and minimizing waste. - Provide knowledgeable, courteous, and professional customer service. - Work efficiently under deadlines, particularly during holidays, weddings, and other high-volume periods. - Collaborate with fellow designers, management, and delivery personnel to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment. - Assist with merchandising, displays, and other boutique responsibilities as needed. Qualifications and Requirements - Minimum of three years of professional floral design experience required. - Demonstrated ability to independently create professional-quality floral arrangements in a variety of styles and price ranges. - Strong knowledge of fresh flowers, floral care, design mechanics, and industry techniques. - Creativity, artistic ability, and excellent attention to detail. - Ability to manage multiple design assignments while maintaining quality and efficiency. - Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills. - Dependability, punctuality, and a professional appearance. - Experience with wedding and event floral design preferred. - Floral industry certification or formal design education is a plus, but not required. - Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, and lift or carry floral materials and supplies weighing up to 30 pounds, with assistance or equipment for heavier items. - Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Schedule and Availability Work schedules will be determined according to business needs. Flexibility during peak floral holidays, including Valentine's Day,Mother's Day, and the wedding and event seasons, is expected. Occasionalweekend or extended hours may be required.
