Position Overview Residential Youth Care Specialist – full‑time Responsibilities Provide care, supervision, structure, and therapeutic support to youth 10‑17 years old, building a therapeutic relationship. Assist in the treatment process and complete tasks assigned by the Supervisor. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team committed to the youth’s success. Schedule 1st Shift: 7 am – 7 pm or 2nd Shift: 7 pm – 7 am Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday Week 2: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, Sunday Mandatory attendance at a 4‑day, 9 am – 5 pm Therapeutic Crisis Intervention (TCI) training program prior to client engagement. All residential staff must pass TCI training and demonstrate proper therapeutic techniques and holds. High school diploma/GED with two years of relevant youth‑work experience considered in lieu of a BA/BS degree. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and possess excellent written and oral communication skills. All candidates must pass a drug screening test and an extensive background check. Physical Requirements The job requires walking, standing, bending, running, climbing stairs, lifting individuals, and rapid extrication of youths during emergencies.
