About the Role Full‑time commercial sales role focusing on small to medium‑sized companies that rely on physical operations. Typical sales are $5,000-$20,000, involving proof of concepts, multi‑stakeholder negotiations, and selling to owners, safety and operational managers. Responsibilities Own end‑to‑end customer engagements from prospecting and qualification to close. Generate pipeline through strategic outbound prospecting and inbound leads from the account development team. Target accounts with 11–30 vehicles. Handle and own a transactional sales process with high volume demands. Champion, role‑model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as the company scales globally. Qualifications 1+ years of experience in a closing sales role. Consistent quota achievement. Experience selling in the commercial space – small to medium deal sizes. High‑volume cold‑calling experience. Fast‑paced, transactional sales experience. Growth mindset and willingness to collaborate with teammates. SFDC familiarity. Desire to impact industries that run our world, leading to real‑world impact. Always be prospecting mindset, continuous research to find potential clients (#alwaysbeprospecting). Innate curiosity for how businesses work. Life‑long learner, willing to engage with unfamiliar businesses. Build genuine relationships with customers; trust built over time.
