Garver is seeking aTransportation Roadway Team Leader to join our growing Team in Franklin, Tennessee. They will be mentored and trained as seller‑doers with opportunities to market our services, interact with the biggest transportation clients in Tennessee, and grow their career. Responsibilities Provide leadership and management of transportation design projects(Highways, Roadways, Bicycle/Pedestrian facilities) Develop project/task schedules for active projects Facilitate coordination with subconsultants and internal design team members Provide oversight of plans production for transportation design projects Prepare plans, cost estimates, reports, and calculations required for client deliverable packages. Lead engagement and interaction with design teams, clients, and project stakeholders. Technical experience should include Geometric design for roadways/interchanges Construction sequencing and traffic control Utility relocation coordination Marketing activities may include assisting in the production of proposals and letters of interest, as well as participation in interviews and other presentations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in civil engineering from an ABET accredited program Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Tennessee, or will have the ability to obtain reciprocity within three months of hire 10-15 years or more years of relevant experience Practical working knowledge of the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) Green Book, the Roadside Design Guide, and the Manual Uniform Traffic Control Device (MUTCD) as well as TDOT Design manuals and processes Experience with Microstation, Geopak, Open Roads Designer and/or other roadway design software Good interpersonal skills and a team‑first mentality Effective written and verbal communication skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Preferred Requirements/Skills Previous experience in consulting engineering with a primary focus on TDOT (or other DOT) transportation project design Grow With Us Garver offers its employees programs such as company-paid professional memberships, company support for industry licenses and continuing education opportunities that foster a progressive atmosphere.
