Position Title: 2nd Grade Lead Teacher Location: Great Hearts Monte Vista South Reports To: Headmaster FLSA Status: Salaried-Exempt We are looking for life-long learners passionate about shaping students' hearts and minds. - As a Homeroom Teacher you provide a welcoming and nurturing classroom that guides students to build a deep sense of wonder and a love of learning.

- As a Homeroom Teacher you enjoy the support of an Assistant/Apprentice Teacher in your classroom.
- Teach assigned classes using the Great Hearts curriculum and materials, preparing thoughtful lessons and cultivating an orderly, joyful classroom that supports the pursuit of truth, goodness, and beauty.
- Provide appropriate academic support to students, monitor progress, and partner with school leadership to address academic or behavioral needs in a timely manner.
- Uphold and model the culture, policies, and expectations of Great Hearts, including dress code, conduct, and safety procedures, contributing to a respectful and orderly school environment.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with families, initiating conferences as needed and fostering strong home-school partnerships.
- Participate fully in the life of the academy through faculty collaboration, school events, assigned duties, and a shared commitment to ongoing professional growth and excellence in teaching.
- Bachelor's or higher degree is required for a lead teaching role
- Certification is not required for general education
- All majors are welcome
