We are looking for a Materials Planner to support manufacturing operations through proactive planning, material coordination, and data-driven decision-making in New Braunfels, Texas. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can balance inventory needs, production priorities, and delivery commitments while working closely with purchasing, operations, and other internal teams. The role focuses on maintaining material availability, improving planning accuracy, and helping production stay on schedule through strong analysis and cross-functional communication.

Responsibilities:
• Review production schedules and demand signals to determine material timing and ensure components are available when needed for manufacturing.
• Evaluate inventory positions, open supply orders, and upcoming requirements within planning systems to support accurate material decisions.
• Coordinate the release of manufacturing and purchasing activities based on priorities, lead times, and current supply conditions.
• Partner with production, purchasing, and other stakeholders to resolve shortages, accelerate critical items, and support alternate material solutions when necessary.
• Investigate overdue orders and missed delivery commitments, identify underlying issues, and drive follow-up actions to improve performance.
• Establish material request timing and delivery expectations in alignment with job priorities and available supply.
• Monitor production and project status reports, communicate updates clearly, and take action to support on-time completion goals.
• Use data analysis and planning methods to recommend appropriate stocking levels while balancing service expectations and inventory efficiency.
• Contribute to process improvement efforts, assist with day-to-day planning activities, and provide team support across production-related tasks when needed.• 2+ years of experience in materials planning, supply chain planning, logistics, or a related manufacturing support role.
• Hands-on experience working with enterprise planning or material management systems in a production environment.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to use formulas, analyze data, and organize planning information effectively.
• Solid analytical and mathematical ability with confidence in making inventory, ordering, and scheduling decisions.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing workflows, material control practices, and supply chain coordination.
• Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external suppliers.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and sound judgment when addressing shortages, delays, and shifting production demands.
• Experience supporting material planning activities such as purchase requests, inventory review, logistics coordination, or physical inventory processes.
