Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform assignments while applying principles and techniques of electrical engineering to accomplish goals.Role and Responsibilities:In addition to electrical and electronic duties it is expected that this position include proficiency in hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical principals to help design and troubleshoot the systems both at the factory and in the field.Develop electrical systems and devices and test them for safety and efficiency.Manage the manufacturing/design process for new electrical equipment using design software to produce schematics.Support the installation process of your designs.Inspect electrical components during and after the product installation.Testing electronics for problems and proposing solutions.Understand and implement design from technical specifications, along with input from distributors, customers, Sales or Service.Interact with distributors and customers using verbal and written communication.Create accurate product documentation and records.Prepare cost estimates for customers and other employees.Work with the full engineering team to deliver projects that meet customer requirements according to project timelines.Qualifications:Advanced mathematical skills for calculation of design equations.Excellent communication skills to explain technical specifics to peers and customers.Writing skills for preparing manuals, parts lists, proposals, and design documentation.Ability to supervise technicians.Focus and concentration to understand complex electrical systems.Self-motivation to keep up with current electrical advances using new technologies.Ability to use industry-specific tools to analyze and test electronics.Time-management skills for meeting deadlines.Required Skills / Education:Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.Ability to analyze information and/or use logic to solve problems.Working knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office.Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or 3 to 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering.Following receipt of a conditional offer of employment, candidates will be required to complete additional job-related screening processes as permitted or required by applicable law.We are an equal opportunity employer, and all applicants will be considered for employment without attention to their membership in any protected class.
