Head of Client Services - Wealth Management

HEAD OF CLIENT SERVICE - WEALTH MANAGEMENT needed at one of our investment management clients!!! On site in Phoenix only. Base $175k - $250k plus discretionary bonus. Must have 10+ years of relevant experience in wealth management, investment management, private banking, or a related financial services environment as well as significant experience supporting or managing UHNW client relationships. This is a highly confidential search and the company name will not be disclosed until the first interview is scheduled. Our client, an established investment management firm, is seeking an experienced Head of Client Service — Wealth Management to join its team in the Phoenix metropolitan area. This is a senior, hands-on position for an experienced investment or wealth management professional who understands the expectations of high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients and has the operational discipline, judgment, and professionalism required to support a sophisticated investment organization. A deep knowledge of the investment side of the ledger is also critical. The successful candidate will also be expected to understand the business beyond the client-facing function, including investments, processes, operations, documentation, compliance, internal controls, and execution. The Role: You will play a key role in ensuring that client-related activities and internal processes are handled accurately, efficiently, and professionally. This individual will work closely with senior leadership and investment professionals, taking ownership of key responsibilities, proactively identifying and addressing issues, improving processes, and ensuring initiatives are executed effectively through completion. This is a role for someone who can operate at a senior level while remaining highly attentive to the details that matter. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and continuously improve client service processes and the overall client experience. Serve as a senior point of contact for sophisticated high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of markets and the ability to explain complex investment concepts. Manage and coordinate client-related activities from onboarding and account administration through ongoing service and reporting. Coordinate effectively across investment, operations, compliance, custodial, and other internal and external functions. Ensure client requests, documentation, deliverables, and follow-up are handled accurately and on a timely basis. Develop and maintain processes that promote consistency, accountability, efficiency, and appropriate controls. Identify operational gaps, potential risks, and process deficiencies and take ownership of resolving them. Work closely with compliance and senior management to ensure client-related activities are conducted appropriately and in accordance with applicable requirements. Maintain a strong understanding of firm policies, procedures, controls, and regulatory obligations. Support client onboarding, documentation, due diligence, account maintenance, and other operational requirements. Participate in client meetings and communications where senior-level experience and judgment are required. Handle sensitive and confidential client matters with discretion. Independently assess situations, determine appropriate next steps, and follow through to resolution. Provide senior-level oversight and guidance on client service and operational matters. Contribute to the continued development and refinement of the firm's processes and standards. The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate brings significant experience within an investment or wealth management environment and understands what it takes to deliver a sophisticated client experience while maintaining strong operational and compliance discipline. We are looking for someone who: Has substantial experience in wealth management, investment management, private banking, or a comparable investment environment. Has significant experience working with UHNW individuals and families. Understands the expectations, discretion, complexity, and service standards associated with UHNW clients. Has a strong working knowledge of client onboarding, account administration, investment operations, documentation, compliance processes, and internal controls. Is highly organized, detail-oriented, and exceptionally strong at follow-through. Can independently manage complex matters from beginning to end. Demonstrates sound judgment and understands when an issue requires escalation. Communicates clearly, confidently, and professionally. Must be comfortable taking ownership and being accountable for results. Qualifications: 10+ years of relevant experience in wealth management, investment management, private banking, or a related financial services environment. Significant experience supporting or managing UHNW client relationships. Demonstrated understanding of investment-firm operations, client service, compliance, and regulatory processes. Experience within an investment adviser, investment management firm, private bank, or similar organization strongly preferred. Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, or a related field. Series 65; CFA would be an asset but not requirement.
