Job Title: Chief Solutions ArchitectJob Category: Information TechnologyTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start:Employee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required:Type of Travel:* * *The Opportunity:CACI is seeking a Chief Solutions Architect to serve as the senior technical and strategic leader responsible for shaping, governing, and delivering enterprise-scale technology solutions for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This role primarily supports growth efforts from inception to delivery, ensuring solutions are innovative, secure, scalable, and executable, but may support program delivery teams in implemented proposed solutions. The Chief Solutions Architect partners closely with executive leadership, capture teams, program management, and customers to translate complex requirements into integrated, value-driven architectures. The ideal candidate will have excellent listening and questioning skills with the ability to work directly with Government customers to decompose and identify problems and opportunities. Because of the scale and complexity, candidates need to possess a broad degree of technical expertise. Candidates will be required to support written/oral presentations as part of DHS capture initiatives.This is a hybrid position required 2-3 days onsite in Oxon Hill, MD.Responsibilities:Serve as the enterprise authority for solution architecture across multiple DHS capture efforts and active programsLead the development of end-to-end technical solutions spanning infrastructure, cloud, applications, cybersecurity, data, and IT service managementSupport early-stage and active capture efforts by developing initial solution concepts, technical strategies, architectures, and roadmapsEnsure continuity between proposed capture solutions and post-award execution, supporting on-program modernization and transformation initiativesPartner with business development, capture managers, and delivery leadership to balance innovation, risk, cost, schedule, and operational feasibilityEngage directly with DHS stakeholders to understand mission needs and clearly articulate solution valueEvaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption aligned to enterprise strategy and DHS prioritiesSupport program execution by guiding technical decisions, resolving complex issues, and mitigating technical riskQualifications:Required: Ability to Obtain DHS EOD Public Trust ClearanceBachelors (or equivalent) plus 15 years of experience. Equivalency includes AA + 17 total years of work experience, MA + 12 years of experience or 21 total years of work experience10+ years of progressive experience in enterprise IT, solution architecture, or systems engineering rolesDemonstrated experience supporting capture efforts, including development of initial capture team solution concepts, architectures, and technical strategies, with the ability to transition into on-program technology transformation initiatives post-awardProven ability to design and lead large-scale, complex, multi-domain IT solutions from concept through executionExceptional oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex technical solutions, roadmaps, and trade-offs to executives, capture teams, and government stakeholdersDemonstrated experience developing, communicating, and defending solution architectures and multi-year technology roadmaps aligned to modernization and transformation goalsStrong understanding of enterprise IT domains, including:Cloud and hybrid infrastructureApplication and systems architectureCybersecurity and Zero Trust principlesData, analytics, and integrationIT service management and operationsDesired:Relevant industry certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP Architect, TOGAF, CISSP, ITIL, SAFe, or similar)Experience leading large enterprise modernization initiatives, including cloud migration, digital transformation, Zero Trust, DevSecOps, Digital Employee Experience (DEX)Familiarly performing technology analysis of alternative, technical risk assessments, and trade-off analysisPrior experience in a Chief Architect, Principal Architect, or equivalent senior technical leadership role-What You Can Expect: A culture of integrity.At CACI, we place character and innovation at the center of everything we do.
