Job Opportunity - Travel Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular ICU - Florida

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Location: Gainesville, Florida

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Night shift, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 36 hours per week, every other weekend or three weekend shifts per month

• 24-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit in a 432-bed full-service acute care facility
• Advanced ECMO center with high surgical volume supporting Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery programs
• Specialized Impella-Assisted High-Risk PCI and Cardiogenic Shock program
• Primary RN model with Unit Clerk support; documentation via Meditech EMR
• Float to Critical Care units as needed
• Accredited facility recognized as a Primary Stroke Center and Chest Pain Center with multiple Blue Distinction designations

Responsibilities

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular ICU patients including those requiring ECMO support
• Manage vasoactive infusions, arterial lines, invasive central lines, and ventilator-dependent patients
• Assist with procedures including chest tube placement, central line placement, bronchoscopy, and percutaneous tracheostomy
• Deliver compassionate patient-centered care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Utilize advanced critical care equipment including Alaris pumps and Level 1 Rapid Transfusion systems

Requirements

• Current Florida RN license or compact state license
• Minimum 1-2 years of Critical Care/ICU nursing experience required
• Strong competencies in vasoactive infusions, arterial lines, invasive central lines, and ventilator management
• Cardiothoracic surgery and cardiology experience strongly preferred
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Ability to work night shifts and meet weekend scheduling requirements
