Paralegal For Real Estate Practice Group
We are seeking an experienced paralegal with a background in real estate title and survey review to support our Southeast offices, including Atlanta, Charlotte, Jacksonville, Tampa, and Orlando, within the firm's Real Estate Practice Group. The role involves analyzing title insurance commitments, endorsements, and policies, as well as examining title exceptions, easements, liens, encroachments, and other issues affecting property titles. The candidate will prepare title summaries, objection letters, and coordinate with title companies to resolve defects and acquire necessary endorsements. Responsibilities also include reviewing ALTA/NSPS land surveys, identifying encroachments, boundary issues, easements, and zoning matters, then comparing surveys with title commitments for consistency. The paralegal will assist attorneys in crafting survey objection letters, track liens, and support special projects. Requirements include 5-10 years of experience in commercial real estate, preferably at a mid-to-large firm, along with a bachelor's degree, knowledge of title insurance, surveys, and real estate terminology. Strong organizational, communication, analytical, and time management skills are essential, along with proficiency in MS Office. Paralegal certification is a plus. Physical ability to sit or stand for extended periods and moderate keyboard use is needed.
