Job Summary:
The nursing position in the Labor and Delivery Department is located in Birmingham, Alabama. This role involves providing postpartum care for mothers and newborns in a Mother Baby Unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

Job Details:

• Role: Registered Nurse (RN)
• Specialty: Postpartum care (mother and newborn)
• Schedule: Days shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, two years of experience in postpartum maternal and newborn assessments, PPH (Postpartum Hemorrhage) management, hypertension (HTN) management, OB Sepsis management, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification, experience with Cerner or EPIC electronic medical records after August 1, 2026.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in postpartum couplet care (mother and newborn)
• Equipment: Alaris IV pumps, Medela Breast pumps, Medela Breastmilk Warmer
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: Knowledge of postpartum maternal and newborn assessments, PPH, HTN management, and OB Sepsis are essential for this role.
