Job Summary

The wellness associate reports to the wellness director and the wellness manager and provides services and care to each resident based on the individual resident service plan. Essential functions include assisting residents with activities of daily living, maintaining an awareness of each resident's general state of physical and mental health, keeping an inventory of medical supplies, assisting with shift coverage, developing and maintaining assignments for the wellness director, assisting in orienting and on-boarding of new wellness associates, responding to resident emergencies, providing first-aid, arranging for appropriate medical follow-up, assisting residents in keeping their units clean, answering calls for assistance, assisting residents with clothing and laundry needs, assisting residents with meal selection, service and feeding, assisting with activity programs, maintaining records, participating in in-service education, and carrying out other duties as assigned. Compliance and safety, communication, education/experience/licensure/certification, physical requirements, and miscellaneous duties are also part of the role.
