We are seeking a Machinist / Valve Technician with at least 2 years of professional manual machining experience and demonstrated expertise in valve repair and testing. In this role, you will operate a wide array of manual machine tools and specialized equipment to manufacture, overhaul, and test precision valves and hydraulic components to exact tolerances and strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Set up and operate manual lathes, vertical/horizontal mills, drill presses, key seaters, hydraulic presses, hydro test machines, and overhead cranes.
• Component Fabrication & Repair: Manufacture, modify, or repair metal parts from blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, or physical samples while maintaining tight tolerances.
• Valve & Hydraulic Service: Disassemble, inspect, overhaul, reassemble, and perform hydrostatic/pressure testing on various valves and hydraulic systems.
• Quality & Precision Inspection: Utilize precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to ensure parts meet exact job specifications.
• Maintenance & Safety: Adhere to all safety protocols and PPE requirements while maintaining a clean, organized work area and performing routine maintenance on shop equipment.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: 2+ years of manual machining experience in a manufacturing, marine, or industrial repair setting.
• Technical Expertise: Proven experience in valve troubleshooting, hydraulic component overhaul, and hydrostatic testing.
• Blueprints & Tools: Ability to read schematics/blueprints and proficiency with precision measuring equipment.
• Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs safely and unassisted in an active shop environment.
• Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Certifications (Bonus): CNC or VRC certifications are a strong plus.
