Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School-Based Shawnee, Kansas City | Full-Time | 2026-2027 School Year | On-Site TheraPeds Partners is seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for a full-time, school-based opportunity in Shawnee, Kansas City for the 2026-2027 school year. Position Details Full-time: 36-38 hours per week School year: September 2026-May 2027 Grades: Elementary or Elementary - High School Setting: On-site, in-person Pay: $55-$60/hour, based on experience and employment arrangement Weekly compensation is based on 37.5 hours Guaranteed hours, including designated documentation, planning, and administrative time Manageable caseload Support from both the school district and TheraPeds Partners What You'll Do As a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll help students develop the speech, language, and communication skills needed to access their education and participate successfully in the school environment. Your responsibilities may include: Providing direct speech and language therapy services to students individually and in small groups Conducting speech and language evaluations and assessments Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized IEP goals Evaluating student progress and adjusting intervention strategies based on student needs and data Providing consultation and support to teachers, special education staff, and families Supporting students with articulation, phonology, receptive and expressive language, fluency, voice, social/pragmatic communication, and other communication needs Supporting students who use augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), as appropriate Monitoring student performance and collecting data to measure progress Completing timely and accurate documentation and progress reports Participating in IEP, eligibility, reevaluation, and interdisciplinary team meetings Managing assigned student caseloads and required documentation Collaborating with teachers, special education staff, families, therapists, administrators, and other school professionals Providing case management services, as assigned What We're Looking For Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited Speech-Language Pathology program Active or eligible for Kansas City Speech-Language Pathologist licensure Appropriate Kansas City Department of Education certification or credential for school-based practice, as required ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred Clinical Fellowship (CF-SLP) candidates may be considered, with appropriate supervision available Experience working with children School-based experience preferred, but not required Strong understanding of speech and language development, assessment, intervention, and progress monitoring Knowledge of the IEP process and special education services Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational, documentation, case-management, and time-management skills Comfortable using technology for documentation, communication, assessment, and service delivery Ability to successfully complete required fingerprinting and background clearances Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, educators, administrators, and related-service professionals Professionalism, tact, discretion, and respect for student and family confidentiality Requirements Master's or PhD degree from a Speech-Language Pathology program State License as Speech-Language Pathologist Department of Education Licensure as a SLP National License: ASHA Licensing with the State Department of Education, where required CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred CF-SLP placement may be available Experience working with children #J-18808-Ljbffr Therapeds Partners
