Job Description:The Mechanical Coordinator plays a crucial role in providing coordination, technical support, and troubleshooting for the Commissioning and Start-Up This position is responsible for overseeing and optimizing mechanical commissioning and start-up across a range of equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and agitatorsThe Mechanical Coordinator will provide valuable input during the construction phase to ensure that the equipment meets the needs of the Maintenance and Operations TeamIn this role, the Mechanical Coordinator will direct contractors to ensure that equipment has been properly commissioned and prepared for Operations personnel, adhering to the project scheduleThe Mechanical Coordinator will serve as the first line of technical support to contractors during the commissioning and start-up phases, and will act as a Technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) if field machining is requiredCollaboration with Operations will be essential to start up the equipment and place it into service, performing function testing and validations to ensure that the equipment operates as designedAdditionally, this role will involve providing training and coaching to area contractors to enhance their knowledge regarding new assets included within the projectCoordination with Site Predictive Maintenance Teams for validations and testing of new equipment, such as Vibration, Oil Analysis, and Flow Measurement, will also be part of the responsibilitiesLastly, the Mechanical Coordinator will serve as the Quality Assurance Representative for all rotating equipment commissioning and start-up activitiesServes as Mechanical Technical Support SME for Rotating Equipment Commissioning and Start-up personnel Will escalate issues if required based on complexity of issuesDirects Craftsmen to ensure work is completed in line with the project schedule, to eliminate delays impacting start-upProvides input on System Turnover Walks to ensure equipment has been constructed in a way that is safe and reliable and meets Maintenance and Operations requirements Provides technical support for start-up of equipment and performance testing of rotating equipment during the start-up phaseProvides training and coaching to the area contractors to improve the knowledge base as they relate to new assets included within this projectCoordinates with Site Predictive Maintenance Teams for validations and testing of new equipment, which may include but not limited to, Vibration, Oil Analysis, Flow Measurement, etcServes as Quality Assurance Representative for all rotating equipment commissioning and start-up activitiesNDE Certification is preferredBenefits:PTO 108 hrs/year to be accrued weekly; Can be used, rolled over, or paid out401(k) 100% match up to 3% of contributions and 50% match of 4-5% contributionsPaid Holidays Will follow the Client Holiday ScheduleHealth, Vision, Dental BlueCrossBlue Shield options
