Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN)
This is a 13-week contract position.
Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30)
The Labor and Delivery RN will provide care during labor and delivery to high-risk perinatal patients, ensuring quality nursing practices. The role encompasses responsibilities in the delivery room, antepartum, and postpartum areas. The ideal candidate should have experience in a facility that handles a significant number of deliveries and be well-versed in current practices surrounding labor and delivery care.
- Provide nursing care and support for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum
- Conduct assessments and interventions related to high-risk pregnancies
- Assist in the delivery of newborns, including resuscitation and newborn assessments
- Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuous and comprehensive patient care
- Educate patients and families on care processes and postpartum recovery
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in labor and delivery
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate or Relias Fetal Monitoring
- Experience in high-risk perinatal care preferred (200+ deliveries annually ideal)
