Cleanroom Micro-Soldering Specialist - 2nd Shift (1:30pm-10pm)

Job Summary Cleanroom Micro‑Soldering Specialist in Lynnwood, WA.Hours: Monday – Friday 1:30pm – 10:00pm.The role involves advanced soldering and assembly processes under limited supervision to meet military standards, FDA standards, and other quality requirements. Essential Functions Perform advanced soldering tasks, including micro soldering, to assemble components and subassemblies. Prepare components prior to assembly, clean, mark, and inspect components, subassemblies, or completed assemblies. Test finished assemblies for quality and functionality. Practice safe work habits per OSHA and company policy; proactively identify safety concerns. Train and mentor new employees and other team members in soldering techniques, processes, and Crane tools. Prioritize daily demand per Master Schedule Report for the cell(s) you are working in. Discuss and problem‑solve quality issues with Manufacturing Engineers, the Quality group, and leadership. Create work orders, Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs), and First Article Inspections (FAIs) at “In process/End Item” and other assembly functions. Participate in cleaning of area and machinery and take part in team meetings for improvement. Crosstrain to work on all processes within the value stream. Identify and report issues to leadership. Complete job‑related company training courses. Support CRS initiatives including 5S, KPI’s, Standard Work, Problem Solving, and other initiatives as they arise. Flexibility and willingness to work overtime if necessary. Any other task assigned by supervisor or management. Non‑Essential Functions Understand and/or participate with internal/external audits. Review work instructions for errors and/or clarification improvements. May be required to repair/rework defective or returned assemblies. Minimum Qualifications Experience: 10+ years in Small Component Assembly with a minimum of 1 year of micro soldering experience. Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution of goods. Skills: strong verbal and written communication, proficiency in reading comprehension, basic computer skills. Abilities: accurate color vision, near vision, depth perception; manipulative skills, finger and manual dexterity; hand‑eye coordination and arm‑hand steadiness; interpret production or engineering prints; excel in high‑pace, high‑volume environment. Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent; fine soldering certificate or equivalent experience. Eligibility: may require access to Controlled Data or Information; only U.S. persons will be considered if such access is required. Preferred Qualifications Ability to coach and mentor and contribute to the employment process. Experience with part marking, wrapping, and packaging finished goods and transporting to other work areas. Ensure all paperwork and work‑order transactions are completed appropriately and work orders are closed. Ability to perceive and pre‑determine sequences of operations and installation requirements from sketches and oral instructions. Experience maintaining equipment on a stringent calibration schedule; IPC solder certification; Designated Inspection certification. Working Conditions Work in Class 7 or 8 Cleanroom or general manufacturing environment. Up to 7 hours of microscope work daily. Use safety equipment: eye safety glasses, gowning, masks, hearing protectors, heel/wrist straps, and other required PPE. May be exposed to loud noises. Standing approximately 25% of time; sitting approximately 75%. Lifting up to 40lbs; pushing up to 40lbs. Mental/Visual: use of soldering equipment, microscopes, magnifying glasses.
