JOB SUMMARY

\n As a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) at Catalyst Physician Group, you'll be a vital part of our team, helping our communities thrive by providing direct patient care and supporting clinical operations. You will see approx. 15-25 patients per day and have in office support as well as Catalyst support teams including 24/7 care team support, referral coordinators and more. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

\n

Functions independently to perform a broad range of medical services including, but not limited to the following:

\n

\n
• Providing direction, coordination, and evaluation of patient care delivery
\n
• Patient assessment
\n
• Age appropriate history and physical
\n
• Diagnosing and treating acute and chronic conditions
\n
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays relative to a patients specific needs
\n
• Annual exams
\n
• Educating patients on disease prevention and positive health and lifestyle choices
\n
• Documenting encounters in the Athena EMR
\n

\n

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

\n

\n
• Current Texas license and certification
\n
• Graduate of an accredited NP/PA program
\n
• Experience as an NP or PA in an outpatient clinic setting
\n
• Competent with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
\n
• Ability to exercise a high degree of initiative, judgment, discretion, and decision-making
\n

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

\n

\n
• 1-3 years related experience preferably in an Internal Medicine or Primary Care outpatient setting
\n
• Athena EMR experience
\n
