Community Resource Specialist

USA Cares, Inc. is a national nonprofit dedicated to supporting post-9/11 military service members, veterans, and their families through financial assistance and advocacy programs. We help military-connected families overcome critical financial challenges and achieve stability during times of crisis. Our mission is rooted in compassion, integrity, and service to those who have served our country. The Family Resource Specialist is responsible for case management of clients requesting assistance. Evaluations/progress reports will be given monthly to identify any training needs. The role of the Family Resource Specialist is to enhance the quality of life for the client & family requesting assistance, maximize satisfaction, and promote cost effectiveness. Respond to clients promptly, provide excellent customer service. Coordinate & provide assistance that is timely, effective, efficient, equitable & client centered. Facilitate multiple aspects of assistance (coordination & information sharing). Research cases to ensure proper distribution of funds. Ensure cases meet the guidelines of grants and USA Cares policies. Remain flexible to the needs of the families and be able to professionally voice concerns with processes that may affect productivity. Update and track opportunities to work with other organizations to supplement grants for service members. High School Diploma. Excellent computer skills required. Microsoft Office Programs Data entry Typing Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Strong organizational, time-management, and data-entry skills Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion Military experience or familiarity with military and veteran communities preferred USA Cares, Inc. is committed to diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
