We are currently hiring across multiple Henry Ford Health hospitals and care sites, offering opportunities in both Emergency Department and outpatient settings.
Position Overview
As a Patient Registration Representative, you will play a vital role in supporting patients, families, and visitors throughout their healthcare journey. Following standard operating procedures, you will:
- Greet and assist patients with a welcoming, service-focused approach
- Manage face-to-face check-ins and pre-registration processes
- Verify insurance eligibility and collect applicable payments
- Accurately complete new patient registrations and update records
- Respond to patient and visitor questions with professionalism and compassion
You will serve as a trusted advocate for patientsensuring their needs are met while delivering an efficient, seamless, and positive experience from arrival to departure.

What We're Looking For
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Experience in patient registration, medical office, or customer-facing roles preferred
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care
Education/Experience Required:
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
- One (1) year of experience related to patient admitting, registration and/or insurance eligibility and verification in a hospital or medical office setting preferred.
- EPIC training/experience preferred.
- Insurance payor systems experience preferred.
- ICD-10 medical terminology experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
- Ability to meet or exceed core customer service responsibilities, standards, and behaviors effectively over the telephone, in person and in writing with patients, visitors and clinical/non-clinical staff.
- Must be willing and able to instruct others.
- Ability to perform a variety of tasks in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions.
