About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Weekend Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2+ years License: Current RN License Certifications: BLS and ACLS from AHA Must-Have Skills/Experience: Stepdown or ICU experience is needed. Experience in post-op care. Knowledge of Bipap and cardiac gtt. Strong time management and critical thinking skills. Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the organization's mission and values. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and consistent with established guidelines of nursing practice. Meets unit specific physical demands and requirements. Engages in significant bending, stooping, lifting, and turning patients with assistance. May be required to work differing schedules, shifts, and days of the week based on patient care requirements. High risk exposure to blood and body fluids is present. Physical demands include push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs., pinch up to 15 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with the organization's mission and values.
