Cardio-Thoracic Telemetry Unit Nurse

Utilize the nursing process to provide primary care to critically ill surgical patients/families who experience a wide variety of complex, multi-system health problems and to participate in health activities.

PAV 10 Adult Cardio-Thoracic Telemetry Unit is a 48-bed adult telemetry step-down unit specializing in the delivery of care to post-operative patients who have undergone cardio-thoracic surgeries such as heart valve replacements/repairs, coronary artery bypass grafts (CABG), left ventricular assist devices (LVAD) implants, heart and lung transplants, various lung surgeries and esophageal surgeries.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN licensure to practice nursing in the state of Michigan.
• One (1) year of Telemetry RN experience

Desired Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• Telemetry experience
• Recent ICU/ICU step-down experience.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving, leadership and effective delegation skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
• ACLS or CCRN certification

Hourly range for Registered Nurses $41.78-$64.81 / hour

• Evening Shift Differential-$3.00 / hour
• Night Shift Differential- $4.00 / hour
• Day Shift Weekend Differential- $2.90 / hour
• Evening Shift Weekend Differential- $5.90 / hour
• Night Shift Weekend Differential- $6.90 / hour
• Charge Nurse Differential- $1.00 / hour

Work Schedule

Hours/week: 36 hours (0.9 FTE) Shift: Nights, includes 50% weekend shifts (4 of 8 weekend shifts); 8 & 12 hour shift lengths. Staff may have opportunity to schedule less than 4 weekend shifts. Location: D. Dan and Betty Kahn Health Care Pavilion Note: All new employees will be expected to float to a designated unit(s) in times of low census.
