About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 19:00-07:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years preferred License: RN Certifications: BLS (must be AHA) Must-Have Skills/Experience: Med/surg experience preferred Description: This is a 198-bed, level III trauma center that provides healthcare services to a diverse patient population. The facility includes state-of-the-art operating suites and handles various Trauma level I, II, and III cases. Services offered include medical, surgical, and rehabilitation care. The facility has a childbirth center, cancer center, nephrology unit, pediatric unit, inpatient behavioral health unit, day surgery center, and extensive imaging and lab testing services. The facility is accredited for PCI, Mammography, and Laboratory services. It has been recognized as one of the Top 20 Most Beautiful Hospitals in the U.S. and has received the Reputation 800 Award in Healthcare. The surrounding area features natural beauty with many rivers, lakes, and national parks. Patients include adults and geriatric populations. Common diagnoses treated include cirrhosis, sepsis, pneumonia, respiratory illnesses, wounds, and congestive heart failure. The unit has a patient ratio of 1:5 and 1:6. Available equipment includes VS machines, bladder scanners, IV pumps, thermal imaging, lifts, and tube feeding pumps. The electronic health record system used is Cerner. Preferred skills include charge nurse experience and oncology skills, but these are not required. Candidates must possess an Associate Degree in Nursing.
