Technical Sales Manager - Aerospace

We are seeking a highly motivated and results‑driven Technical Sales Manager to lead business development and revenue growth for our Cleanroom Services division within the Aerospace, Space & Defense markets. Responsibilities Revenue Growth & Business Development Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within Aerospace, Space & Defense markets. Generate and maintain a robust pipeline through market research, networking, industry engagement, and lead follow‑up. Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and service solutions that align with customer requirements and Astro Pak capabilities. Meet or exceed revenue, margin, and growth objectives. Expand existing customer relationships by increasing program participation and wallet share. Strategic Customer Relationships Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and decision‑makers across customer organizations. Serve as a trusted advisor, helping customers solve complex contamination control, precision cleaning, and cleanroom‑related challenges. Develop communication pathways that position Astro Pak within current and emerging customer programs. Ensure exceptional customer experiences through proactive engagement and responsiveness. Industry & Market Leadership Develop and maintain expert knowledge of Aerospace, Space & Defense markets, industry trends, and customer requirements. Build Astro Pak's presence through participation in trade shows, conferences, professional organizations, and industry networking events. Identify emerging opportunities, technologies, and market developments that support business growth. Cross‑Functional Collaboration Partner closely with Inside Sales, Estimating, Customer Service, and Operations teams to advance opportunities and ensure successful project execution. Act as the primary commercial liaison between customers and internal stakeholders. Support strategic initiatives and organizational priorities as business needs evolve. Target Markets Aerospace OEMs Space and launch vehicle manufacturers Defense contractors Aerospace and defense supply chain partners Government agencies and regulatory organizations Related advanced manufacturing sectors Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technical Studies, or a related field. Minimum of 6–10 years of successful quota‑carrying sales and business development experience. Demonstrated experience selling into Aerospace, Space & Defense markets. Proven track record of generating new business and growing strategic customer accounts. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate complex service solutions. Valid Class C driver’s license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to comply with U.S. Export Control regulations and federally mandated requirements. Preferred Qualifications Experience selling industrial, technical, contract, or field service solutions. Existing network of contacts within Aerospace, Space & Defense industries. Experience navigating complex contract structures and long sales cycles. Familiarity with cleanroom operations, contamination control, precision cleaning, manufacturing services, or related technical environments. Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills. Strong consultative selling and relationship‑management abilities. Strategic thinker with excellent business acumen. Highly self‑motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset. Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities. Ability to influence and communicate effectively at all organizational levels. High degree of professionalism, integrity, and accountability. Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities and priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Work is performed at customer facilities, field locations, and office environments. Occasional exposure to industrial, dusty, or noisy conditions. Extensive travel is required within the assigned territory, including commercial air travel and extended driving periods. Travel may exceed 50% of the workweek and include overnight stays.
