Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 Year Required License: Pending License Accepted Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP Must-Have: - Experience in a large Labor and Delivery unit or facility - Three to four years in postpartum, baby nurse, meconium deliveries Description: The Registered Nurse will work in Labor and Delivery. Candidates must have experience circulating and monitoring fetal heart rates. Skills in managing various obstetrical procedures, including cerclage and C-sections, are essential. Ability to float to antepartum and postpartum units as needed is required. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:2. Experience with high-volume births and diverse patient diagnoses is necessary. Candidates must be open to accommodating scheduling needs. No locals within 100 miles will be considered. COVID vaccination is optional; reporting of vaccine numbers is required. Flu vaccination is mandatory with exemptions only for medical or religious reasons. Professional certifications such as ACLS and NRP are required for this role. This position supports a variety of patient age groups, including neonates and adults. Daily census averages around 8 births with a strong interdisciplinary team. Nurses are expected to demonstrate competencies in various obstetric skills. The facility promotes a baby-friendly environment. A six-month break is required after four consecutive assignments or reaching a one-year mark. Travelers should be prepared for compliance and orientation training. No marketing submissions are permitted for this position.
