About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse - Telemetry Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Night shift Hours per Shift: 36 or 48 hours per week Experience: Minimum years of experience required: Recent experience with electronic health record systems. License: Registered Nurse licensure in the state of practice. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor. Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification. Must-Have: Recent experience with electronic health record systems. Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional discretion. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops a plan that prescribes interventions to attain outcomes. Implements the plan, coordinates care delivery, and employs strategies to promote health and a safe environment. Evaluates progress towards attaining outcomes. Collaborates with the patient, family, and healthcare providers in providing safe and humane patient care. Provides learning opportunities for patients/family members and team members. Participates in discharge planning to provide continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. This position provides care for post-critical medical or surgical patients requiring observation and care at a level less than intensive care patients, but more comprehensive than that required by general acute patients. This role focuses on direct patient care and does not include monitoring electronic devices from outside the patient room.
