Process Engineer Intern - Drinking Water

Join our team as a Process Engineer Intern supporting our Drinking Water treatment systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Possesses knowledge of conventional water treatment and is familiar with some of the processes such as advanced treatment, drinking water treatment, treatment facility, reverse osmosis, microfiltration, disinfection, oxidation, pilot testing, bench testing, PFAS, clarifiers, DBPs, taste and odor (T&O), ozone, ultraviolet (UV), advanced oxidation (AOP)
• Perform variety of tasks to support engineering analyses, report production, and designs
• Prepare basic calculations 
• Assist in basic equipment selection
• Schedule project deliverables
• Collect, organize, and evaluate data

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior internship experience in water/drinking water preferred.
• Water treatment engineering / design, Wastewater treatment engineering/design, chemical/physical principles, water chemistry and hydraulics courses preferred.
• Experience in P&ID/PFD preferred. 
• Learning on the Fly, Problem Solving, Intellectual Horsepower, Written Communications, Drive For Results, Informing, Listening, and Dealing with Ambiguity 

Minimum Qualifications

No experience required. Current enrollment in ABET accredited university in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering program. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Work Environment/Physical Demands

This intern position is expected to be in the office on a full-time basis.
