For more than 25 years, we have partnered with families, schools, and communities to provide prevention education, behavioral health services, and resources that empower youth to make healthy choices. notMYkid is hiring for an on-site therapist licensed as an LCSW at our outpatient clinic located at our campus on 5310 E. Shea Blvd in Scottsdale. The outpatient therapist is responsible for providing comprehensive outpatient behavioral health services that support notMYkid 's mission of empowering youth, strengthening families, and building healthier communities. The focuses on client care through assessment, individual, family, and group therapy, care coordination, clinical consultation and clinical documentation within the therapist’s professional scope of practice. Family engagement is central to the therapeutic process, with family therapy serving as the primary treatment modality whenever clinically appropriate. The outpatient therapist also provides individual and group therapy, completes behavioral health assessments and treatment planning, collaborates with multidisciplinary teams and community partners, and maintains clinical documentation in accordance with professional standards and ADHS licensing requirements. The position plays a key role in advancing notMYkid's mission by providing high-quality, integrated behavioral health services that strengthen individuals, families, and communities. Clinical Assessment & Therapeutic Services Provide evidence-based individual, family, and group therapy tailored to the developmental, emotional, behavioral, and clinical needs of children, adolescents, transitional-age youth, adults, and families. Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and clinical interviews to determine behavioral health needs, establish diagnoses (as appropriate), and develop individualized treatment recommendations. Remain on-site until all required assessments, crisis evaluations, safety determinations, and disposition planning have been completed. Leaving prior to completion of these responsibilities without appropriate clinical coverage may be considered client abandonment. Develop, implement, monitor, and update individualized treatment plans based on ongoing assessment, clinical progress, and collaboration with clients and their natural supports. Continuously evaluate treatment effectiveness and modify interventions and treatment plans to support recovery, resilience, and successful clinical outcomes. Family Engagement & Care Coordination Deliver family-centered therapeutic services that strengthen family functioning and promote long-term success through active engagement of parents, guardians, caregivers, and natural supports whenever clinically appropriate. Collaborate with family, team members to create recommendations for clinical services and strategies and approaches to support their development and promote resilience. Provide clinical recommendations to caregivers that can deploy to support a healing environment Provide clinical recommendations, education, and support to families and caregivers to promote a healing, supportive, and trauma-informed home environment. Participate in interdisciplinary case reviews, treatment planning meetings, discharge planning, aftercare planning, and continuity-of-care activities. Clinical Documentation & Regulatory Compliance Complete all required clinical documentation accurately, thoroughly, and within established organizational, payer, accreditation, and regulatory timeframes. Maintain responsibility for all intake documentation, biopsychosocial assessments, diagnostic documentation, treatment plans, progress notes, event notifications, discharge summaries, relapse prevention plans, and care coordination documentation. Manage an assigned caseload (approximately 15 active clients, subject to organizational needs) while ensuring documentation remains current and compliant. Maintain compliance with ADHS licensing requirements, HIPAA, professional ethical standards, payer requirements, and organizational policies and procedures. Intern Supervision & Clinical Collaboration Provide clinical supervision, mentoring, case consultation, and guidance to graduate-level interns, when qualified and authorized, in accordance with applicable licensing board requirements, educational program expectations, and organizational policies. Review assigned intern clinical documentation, provide feedback, monitor clinical performance, and support development of appropriate clinical competencies within the scope of approved supervision responsibilities. Participate in program development, quality improvement initiatives, policy development, and implementation of evidence-based clinical practices. Monitor the quality and consistency of clinical services to promote compliance with organizational standards, ADHS regulations, accreditation requirements, and contractual obligations. Required Education and Certifications for the Position At least one year experience as an LCSW – Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Current, active, unrestricted, and unencumbered Arizona license issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AZBBHE)Current AZBBHE Board Approved Clinical Supervisor or the ability to obtain AZBBHE certification for clinical supervision AZDPS Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card Negative TB Screening (within 1 year) Negative drug test this includes THC Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screening, background checks, credential verification, and required training in accordance with notMYkid policies and applicable requirements. Preferred Education and Certifications Current CPR/First Aid Certification Therapeutic Interventions for Trauma (ex: EMDR, Brainspotting, CCTP, TF-CBT) Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge and experience in behavioral health counseling, assessment, treatment planning, case management, evidence-based interventions, and clinical documentation. Ability to recognize mental health, substance use, and co-occurring conditions and develop, implement, and evaluate individualized treatment plans. Ability to recognize and appropriately respond to behavioral health crises, including suicide/self-harm risk, aggressive behavior, and other safety or medical concerns. General knowledge of commonly prescribed behavioral health medications, including potential side effects and adverse reactions. Demonstrates professional ethics, sound clinical judgment, confidentiality, appropriate boundaries, and respect for client rights, dignity, strengths, and individual needs. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage clients, families, multidisciplinary teams, referral sources, and community partners. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills, including the ability to independently manage a clinical caseload and meet documentation and regulatory deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, and other technology required for the position. Population Served Children and adolescents, youth and young adults, parents, guardians, and caregivers, and families. Client Acuity & Service Complexity Provides outpatient services to clients with varying behavioral health needs and appropriately assesses, escalates, or refers higher-acuity needs when indicated. Physical Demands Sit, stand, and move throughout the workday. Use a computer and electronic health record (EHR) system for documentation. Occasionally lift or carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds. Travel locally to schools, community locations, or meetings as needed.
