Job Description: The IC&E Technician is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of a combined-cycle power generation facility by performing plant operations, inspections, instrumentation and controls (I&C), electrical troubleshooting, and basic mechanical maintenance on combustion turbines, HRSGs, steam generators, and associated balance-of-plant equipment. Job Description: The IC&E Technician is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient operation of a combined-cycle power generation facility by performing plant operations, inspections, instrumentation and controls (I&C), electrical troubleshooting, and basic mechanical maintenance on combustion turbines, HRSGs, steam generators, and associated balance-of-plant equipment. Job Responsibilities
- Inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, calibrate, and repair plant instrumentation, electrical equipment, and control systems.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on plant equipment in accordance with established maintenance programs.
- Diagnose and repair PLCs, DCS systems, transmitters, analyzers, control valves, actuators, motor control centers (MCCs), and variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Maintain and troubleshoot combustion turbine, steam turbine, HRSG, generator, and auxiliary system instrumentation.
- Install, configure, and calibrate pressure, temperature, flow, vibration, and level instrumentation.
- Perform testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of protective relays, switchgear, breakers, transformers, motors, and electrical distribution systems.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Journey level in the electrical trade
- Completion of a State Approved Apprenticeship Program
