The Automotive Technician/Automotive Mechanic plays a vital role in ensuring vehicle safety and performance by performing inspections, repairs, and maintenance on a wide variety of vehicle makes and models. Working independently and as part of a technician team, this role requires strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to quality service. Reporting directly to the Service Manager and collaborating with a Lead Technician, this position offers flexible hours with occasional overtime and opportunities for career growth through ongoing training and advancement.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle inspections and diagnostic testing
- Conduct engine repairs and brake services
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and conduct routine maintenance
- Replace parts as needed to ensure optimal vehicle function
- Collaborate with technician team to maintain service quality
- Maintain flexible working hours and accommodate occasional overtime
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in automotive repair
- Technical certification in automotive technology
- Valid driver's license
- Proficiency in engine diagnostics, brake systems, and electrical systems
- Strong knowledge of preventive maintenance
- Effective problem-solving and time management skills
