Staff Accountant - Cost Accounting

Job DescriptionSupport core cost accounting processes by ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and reconciliation. Partner with business units and operations to manage cost data, validate transactions, and improve cost visibility.Cost Accounting & ClosePrepare journal entries (COGS, inventory, freight)Support monthly close and reporting cyclesMaintain accurate cost data in ERP (SAP)Reconciliation & AnalysisReconcile accounts and resolve discrepanciesAnalyze cost variances (standard vs. actual)Validate estimated vs. actual costsBusiness & Intercompany SupportPartner with business units on financial bookingSupport intercompany accounting (AR/AP entries)Ensure alignment across entitiesReporting & DataPull and analyze data from ERP systemsPrepare recurring cost and operational reportsProvide data to support business decision-makingProcess & ControlsFollow SOPs and maintain strong internal controlsSupport audit readiness and documentationIdentify opportunities for process improvementWhat We're Looking ForEducation & ExperienceBachelor's in Accounting or Finance1–3+ years of relevant accounting experienceTechnical SkillsSAP or ERP experience preferredStrong Excel skills (analysis, reconciliations)Understanding of inventory, costing, and COGSCore StrengthsAnalytical and detail-orientedStrong ownership and accountabilityClear, concise communicatorAbility to work cross-functionallyA reasonable estimate of the current range is $65,000-$75,000 + bonus + benefits. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
